Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security to your account with TOTP-based two-factor authentication.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you sign in. Even if someone gets your password, they cannot access your account without your phone.
Enable 2FA
- 1Install an authenticator app on your phone — Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password work well.
- 2Go to Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
- 3Click Enable 2FA.
- 4Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- 5Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app to confirm.
- 6Save your backup codes in a secure place (password manager, printed paper).
- 72FA is now active.
Signing in with 2FA
After enabling 2FA, the sign-in form will ask for your 6-digit code after you enter your email and password. The code refreshes every 30 seconds in your authenticator app.
Disable 2FA
- 1Go to Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
- 2Click Disable 2FA and confirm with your current password.
Note: If you lose your authenticator device and do not have backup codes, account recovery requires identity verification and may take several business days. Store your backup codes safely.
